Shadow, Sound, Spectacle: Literary Monsters
Literary Monsters is part concert, part puppet show, and part ghost story. It is a 50-minute immersive experience that reimagines the classic creatures of Edgar Allan Poe, Mary Shelley, Washington Irving, and Emily Dickinson.

Cat Nap Storytime with Caldecott Honoree Brian Lies
Join the Forbes Library for a May 5 “cat pawty” and storytime with Caldecott honoree Brian Lies! The event is focused on Cat Nap, a beautiful and playful picture book that follows a sleepy kitten whose afternoon nap transforms into an epic chase through nine iconic artworks from the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s collections. Cat-themed activities and crafts will follow the storytime presentation.

SPEC Circus presents a bold contemporary circus production assembled live from a community bulletin board. Guided by a show director searching for acts about deconstruction, performers step forward with aerial, dance, puppetry, and acrobatics that question inherited beliefs, productivity culture, family narratives, and the need for validation.
Tournament of Mini Games! Fundraiser for Franklin County Pride
Compete against other teams to complete a word search, fold and throw a paper airplane, write a haiku, and other minute-to-win-it activities! Wistariahurst Museum is excited to announce an upcoming performance sharing the story of Elizabeth “MumBet” Freeman in celebration of Massachusetts’ 250th anniversary. This historical interpretation from Freeman’s perspective will highlight her experiences and contribution to Massachusetts history. This event will be held Sunday, March 15th during Civic Learning Week.
