From Hampshire County to the Danforth: The Journey of Echoes of Nature
What happens when a naturalist poet and a punk-blues folk musician—who also happen to be married—decide to listen to the heartbeat of the Massachusetts landscape?
You get Echoes of Nature, a collaboration between Kim Hoff and Jess Martin. What began as a local project in Hampshire County has blossomed into a multi-county journey of art, resilience, and community. After a whirlwind 2025 that took us from senior centers to the Belfast Poetry Festival (in Belfast, Maine), we are thrilled to share that our 2026 season is expanding even further!
Thanks to the support of Local Cultural Council grants from Framingham, Gardner, and Holyoke, we’re bringing our blend of evocative music and nature-based poetry to new stages this year:
October 3: Wistariahurst Museum, Holyoke
Echoes of Nature is about belonging—to each other, to our queer identity, and to the rivers and forests we call home. We’ve seen firsthand how art becomes a bridge for environmental stewardship and personal healing.
