Happenings in Western MA by and for LGBTQIA+ folks and our allies

Closing Reception + Concert: Mirror Mirror at A.P.E. Gallery
Mirror, Mirror is a multidisciplinary art installation by Indë, a queer Black artivist born/raised/residing in Northampton, MA. The exhibit, on display from July 18th to August 8th, explores intersectional solidarity through immersive multimedia compositions and audience participation. In addition to presenting large figurative paintings, an original soundtrack, mirror/glass-based sculptures, and a new system of music notation, Indë will premiere the music video for “COME ON HOME,” featuring choir vocals by the Queer Joy Chorus, at the opening and closing receptions!

Reparations in Residence: Forum for Arts & Culture Workers + Admin
The Reparations in Residence (RiR) initiative creates opportunities for cross-sector collaboration, community building, and a commitment to spatial justice that goes beyond land acknowledgments and DEI statements. What if the last concert venue you entered was the site of an installation by a Nipmuc artist in residence? What if the next gallery you visit had a Black American musician in residence, responding to the artwork on the white walls? Recognizing that public and privatized American spaces are sites of European colonial violence and systemic racism, what can you do to platform the Black and Indigenous peoples who are here now?

Indë COME ON HOME Music Video Shoot
Indë will be filming a music video for their queer anthem COME ON HOME on 4/20/25, and you're invited to be a part of the ensemble, alongside the Queer Joy Chorus! The song is a love letter to queer people whose families don't accept/support them.

Tongues Untied
Tongues Untied will transform the A.P.E. Ltd. Gallery into an amplifier for genderqueer and trans community voices. You’re invited to take up space and join in freedom songs, breathing exercises, interactive storytelling and other forms of call and response that provide relief to our bodies and vitality to our spirits.
