This September, queer multimedia performance Shadow, Sound, Spectacle is bringing Literary Monsters to Easthampton for one night only. And Why's It Gotta Be? (WIGB) Theater Group is opening with a new work by Devin Dumas.

On September 12, Shadow, Sound, Spectacle (Jess Martin, Amy West, and Abby Hanna) will transform the Black Box theater at EMedia into a world of live music, shadow puppetry, literature, and monsters—from Dracula and Frankenstein to the creatures lurking in our own imaginations. The performance is also part of the lead-up to a forthcoming Literary Monsters album.

We’re especially excited to collaborate with WIGB, a fellow Bloom Local partner, to make an intimate, weird, proudly queer night of local art. This program is supported in part by a grant from the Easthampton Cultural Council, a local agency supported by the Massachusetts Cultural Council, a state agency.
