Shadow, Sound, Spectacle Kicks Off Tour Year 2!
After a blockbuster 2025 tour that took them from the Providence Fringe Festival to Amherst College to Wistariahurst and libraries across the state, the powerhouse trio of Shadow, Sound, Spectacle is back on the road!
We are thrilled to announce that Year 2 of their spellbinding production, Literary Monsters, officially kicks off this June. Our first stop is a Pride Performance in Brockton—and we need your help to spread the word to our Eastern Mass friends and chosen family!
Reimagining the "Monster"
Literary Monsters is part concert, part puppet show, and part ghost story. It is a 50-minute immersive experience that reimagines the classic creatures of Edgar Allan Poe, Mary Shelley, Washington Irving, and Emily Dickinson.
Through original music by Jess Martin, shadow puppetry by Amy West, and music and assisted puppetry by Abby Hanna, the show asks a poignant question for the Queer community: “What is a monster?”
The Kickoff: Pride in Brockton
In a special partnership with Health Imperatives and BrAGLY (Brockton Area Gay Lesbian Youth) program, this performance is designed specifically for LGBTQIA+ youth, adults, and theater lovers in the Metro South region.
Open to all! (Spread the word to your South Shore & Greater Brockton connections!)
